Bicycling is a great low-impact, cardiovascular activity that many people enjoy year round. But when the weather turns cold many people just park their bicycles in the garage and wait for spring. However, with stationary exercise bikes, you can get a great cardiovascular workout right in your home, regardless of how bad the weather is outside.
Choosing the right stationary bike can seem like a confusing task but it’s really very straightforward. Price is one of the first things to consider when shopping for one of these devices. And thankfully, you don’t have to spend a lot to get a lot in return. Yes, there are high-end models available that cost a fortune, but you don’t really need them. Before you even begin to look at different models in stores and online, it’s a good idea to have an idea of how much you want to spend. Having a budget while shopping is a great way to keep you from over spending.
Another thing to consider before making a purchase is how comfortable the seat is. Remember, you are going to be sitting there for quite awhile. Because of this you’ll want to make sure the seat is very comfortable. Your posterior will thank you.
Technical gadgetry is another thing to consider before making a purchase decision. Many stationary bikes now come equipped with special electronics that measure your heart rate, tell you how far and how long you’ve ridden, and many other interesting things. It’s important to keep in mind though that all of these features add to the final price of the equipment. Do you really need all of these extra things? For most people the answer is “no.” This is definitely something to think about if you are on a limited budget.
If you are someone who enjoys getting your exercise in by going on an exciting bicycle ride, don’t let the cold weather keep you from riding during the winter. A stationary model is a great way to stay in top physical condition during the winter months so you’ll be ready to jump back in the saddle when warm weather reappears in a few short months.

If you are an outdoors enthusiast then you know how important it is to have a great pair of men’s sunglasses. Designer sunglasses for guys can protect you from excessive exposure to light. This exposure to excessive light or ulraviolet radiation can lead to cataracts and several different types of ocular cancer. Most eye wear for guys now offer some form of protection against the dangerous UVA and UVB radiation. When purchasing such protective equipment it’s important to look for models that filter out 99 to 100% of the UVA light. Those that do are normally labeled UV 400.
When looking for a pair of men’s sunglasses it’s important to keep in mind how well they fit. Proper fit can also help to reduce the amount of radiation that impacts the eyes. They should sit close enough to the face so that only a small amount of light enters from the side and far enough away from the face so that your eyelashes aren’t rubbing against the lenses. Eye wear for guys should also fit comfortably around the ears and be tight enough not to fall off.
Men’s sunglasses come in many different styles and lens colors. One popular style is known as the aviator. Aviators feature an over-sized tear drop shaped lens and a thin frame. As the name implies these shades were made for pilots and were widely used during WWII by bomber and fighter pilots. Wraparound models are another popular style. These feature a single, semi-circular lens that covers the eyes and most of the area to the sides of the eyes.
Men’s sunglasses come in a variety of colors. For best protection it is recommended to use red, gray, yellow, or brown optics to minimize color distortion. Red and yellow optics increase depth perception and contrast. Those that are gray help maintain true colors. Brown, on the other hand, increases contrast. Many popular eye wear models now have polarized lenses. Polarized models are made of plastic sheeting which helps reduce glare from water and snow. Polarized models are very popular with people who enjoy winter sports.
There are many different types of men’s sunglasses to choose from. Whether you are hiking the trails or skiing down the mountains, finding a pair that fits your needs can be easy. Just remember that a great fit and proper protection from the sun is most important.

Finding room to store your bicycles can often be a real challenge. Thankfully, there are many different storage racks available that will fit almost anywhere in your home. Some of the more popular models available allow you to store your bicycle on a garage wall, overhead, and many other places. The type of rack you decide to go with ultimately depends entirely on what kind of space you have to work with.
Wall mounted models or vertical units are an easy way to store your bicycles out of the way if you have limited space. They are attached to wall studs with screws and are usually made of sturdy aluminum. Many of these units allow you to store more than one bicycle at a time. Some wall mounted models also have shelving built into the design that allows you to store accessories or other equipment. The extra shelves are great for storing helmets, gloves, water bottles, and just about anything else you can think of.
Ceiling racks are the answer if floor space is limited in your garage. Aluminum tracks are attached to studs in the ceiling and hooks are used to suspend your bikes overhead and out of the way. Some ceiling-mounted models also allow you to store multiple bicycles at the same time.
Floor-to-ceiling units normally allow the user to store up to two bikes vertically. Some of these units have kits that can be purchased separately to store additional bikes. The metal storage rack utilizes a tension mounting system where no holes need to be drilled in the wall. The top and bottom extenders adjust to accommodate ceiling heights from 7′ to 11′. The bottom extenders usually have padded feet that can grip any floor. This type of storage device is ideal for apartments, offices, or anywhere else where space is at a premium.
Most storage rack kits come with Velcro straps or hooks to secure your bikes. This means you don’t have to worry about spending additional money on straps. In addition, it’s good to know that most of the storage units are rated at or over 200 lb. Capacity. This makes it highly unlikely that you will overstress it by putting too many bicycles or accessories on it.
You don’t have to give up riding just because you’re not sure where you can keep your bike due to limited storage options. With an affordable rack, you can easily turn a closet, ceiling, or wall, or other space into the perfect place to hang your bike.
When To Replace ATV Tires
Knowing when to replace your All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) tires is extremely important. Neglecting to replace one that is worn or cracked can result in a flat when you least expect it. And, as Murphy’s Law often points out, it will probably happen when you are in a situation where you really need to rely on your vehicle to get you home safely.
ATV tread should be replaced when your it is worn or it begins to crack. Cracking can occur from many years of normal use or from long periods of storage. They should also be replaced when wear begins to show on the sides, which is usually attributed to low pressure.
Replacing your tires shouldn’t be a hassle. When looking for replacements, keep in mind the terrain you will most likely be riding on. Different models can be purchased for use in mud and other rough terrain or just for riding around on the farm. There are many brands available and finding what fits your needs and budget can be easy.
Maintaining your ATV tread can prolong costly repairs and replacements. Proper air pressure is probably the most important thing you can check to ensure longevity. Unfortunately, it’s also something that most people neglect. Many people adjust the pressure to better navigate different terrain. For example, in rocky terrain some will lower the air pressure so their vehicle can better grip the rocks. To prolong the life of your tires, air pressure should be kept at the manufacturer’s suggested specifications.
ATV dealerships are a great place to start looking for new tread. Not only can they help you find the accessories to fit your needs, they can also install them for you. If you don’t know how to replace your own tires, having a dealer install them is smart choice. However, if you have the ability to replace your own, then you can shop online for bargain prices. Some internet sites offer big discounts on models that manufacturer’s are no longer making or they just want to make room for newer models. Be wary when a site advertises accessories with too-good-to-be-true prices. Cheap prices doesn’t always mean they are well made.
Buying used equipment can save a lot of money. Searching local classified ads is a great way to find many great deals. By shopping locally for used items you can inspect them before buying them. When inspecting used tires it’s always good to look for plugs, general wear, and tread condition. It is also a good idea to inspect the sides for signs that indicate they were ridden while under-inflated.
When the time comes to replace your ATV tread there are many different options to choose from. Just remember that with proper care and maintenance your new or used tires can last a long time.

Folding camping chairs are the perfect companion for any camping trip and other outdoors excursion. Without a doubt, sitting on the cold, hard ground can get old quickly. Having the right gear can mean the difference between a sore bottom or a relaxed, comfortable experience. When transporting gear such as tents and sleeping bags to and from the camp site we all know that less is more. With the modern advancements in lightweight materials, however, bringing along portable folding equipment is now easier than ever.
There are many different types of these camping accessories available for you to choose from. Some of the more popular models include camp stools, which have no back or armrests, deck chairs, which are usually very heavy, and the camp seat or stadium seat. Many of the available models feature side tables and side pockets which are great for holding drinks, maps or cell phones. Many now come with their own carrying bag for easy transportation and storage.
Size is an important factor when considering which model to buy. We are all different when it comes to size and weight. When shopping in an outdoors sports store it’s always a good idea to try out several different brands and styles to get the right size. When shopping online it’s important to check the dimensions to get a better idea of what will give you the best fit.
Durability should be another consideration when looking for folding camping chairs. Many people avoid going camping and enjoying the outdoors due to the fact that spending time in the wild can get you dirty very quickly. For some, just being able to take a two or three minute shower can mean the difference between cutting a trip short or staying an extra night. A good portable shower unit can make the outdoors experience much more enjoyable and relaxing. Being able to get cleaned up after a long hike or a canoeing trip and crawling into that soft sleeping bag can make your experience so much more enjoyable.
Camping showers range from a relatively inexpensive, basic, cold water rinse to expensive versions that provide pressurized hot water. One of the most popular types is the solar-heated design. The solar model is very affordable and takes up very little packing space. Solar designs usually have a three to five gallon clear plastic bag that is filled with water and absorbs the sun’s rays throughout the day. The top part of the bag has a hook for hanging and a tube is attached for filling the bag. Once the bag has had a few hours to heat up in the sun it is then hung overhead and ready for use. The water will be warm, not like a hot shower at home but it gets the job done.
Higher end units operate with the use of propane gas. Propane gas heats almost instantly and can normally heat over 60 gallons between gas and battery replacement. A battery operated pump is used to carry the water from the source to the heating unit and back to the storage container. The propane-powered design comes with a storage vessel that is attached overhead to a branch and can hold four or five gallons of heated water at a time.
Some camping showers come with a special enclosure to give you a little privacy. These enclosures are usually made of nylon and come in a variety styles. One popular style uses fiberglass poles in much the same way tents are supported. Another style uses hooks and ropes to attach the enclosure to a tree limb or overhead support.
Camping showers are a great addition to any outdoors experience. Depending on your needs, you can expect to pay anywhere from $30 to $150.
Traversing The Backcountry With Your Yamaha Rhino
Whether you are riding the trails or hauling bails of hay on the farm, the Yamaha Rhino ATV can get the job done. It boasts a 686cc engine with a four-valve head that puts out plenty of power and seemingly endless features such as, electronic fuel injection, four wheel disc breaks, and a sealed drive case to keep out water and debris. In addition, it sits on a lightweight steel frame chassis for durable and dependable handling.
One of the great features of the Yamaha Rhino is the steel dump bed. The dump bed is capable of hauling up to 400 pounds of gear and has a latch that opens from either side of the bed to aid in unloading. The dump bed is a great feature if you own a farm or wooded acreage where normal vehicle access is limited or non-existent. Hauling a couple of hundred pounds of gravel or fencing is no problem for this tough ride.
The Yamaha Rhino comes in a variety of colors. You can choose from the basic red or green or go all out with the real tree camouflage scheme. The real tree camouflage scheme is great for hunters who need to blend in with their surroundings. There are also many accessories available for hunters such as gun boots and gun boot mounting kits that can be purchased to carry your rifles and protect them while traveling to your destination.
There are many Yamaha Rhino products to choose from to outfit your ATV. Some of these accessories include the front sport rack, seat covers, aluminum skid plates, and brush guards. Sport racks are a great way to utilize the front end of the Yamaha Rhino for storing extra gear, such as, tents and sleeping bags. Skid plates can be used when you accidentally underestimate your clearance and protect your all-terrain ride from damage. Brush guards are a must have when riding through over grown trails. They protect your head lights and help push the brush away to minimizing scratches.
The Yamaha Rhino is a great all-terrain vehicle. When compared to other all-terrain vehicles the price is very reasonable. You can expect to pay between $11,000 and $13,000 for one, depending on how it is configured.
Whether you are just riding some local trails or using it as a work horse, it will get the job done. With all of the available accessories you are sure to find the right configuration for your needs.
Getting to The Campsite Can Be Easy With The Polaris Rzr
Getting to your campsite can be a real drag if it requires a long hike. This can be especially problematic if you have to make several trips back and forth to transport all of your camping gear. Thankfully, there’s a way around this problem. Why not ride to your destination on a Polaris RZR? Not only can you dramatically shorten your trip to and from your destination, but with its small truck bed, you can probably transport all of your gear in one trip too.
The Polaris RZR ATV is outfitted with a powerful 800 cc high-output twin EFI engine with electronic fuel injection. The engine delivers 55 hp and accelerates quickly going 0-35 mph in only 4.4 seconds. You don’t have to worry about running out of gas with this engine either. It has an extra-large fuel capacity of 7.25 gallons so you can go for quite a while without having to refuel.
The RZR comes with a standard size bed box which is great for hauling all of your gear. The bed box is 42” by 22” and has a load capacity of 300 pounds. And if you are looking for an all-terrain vehicle with towing power, then look no further. This monster has a hitch towing rating of 1,500 pounds. You could easily use the towing power to pull your buddies out of some tight situations. If you are worried about getting stuck yourself, then don’t worry. The Polaris RZR is 102” long which is almost a foot shorter than other comparable ATV’s. At 50” wide it is narrow enough to be used on most ATV trails. Although it is a little shorter when compared to its competition, the wheel base is almost 2” longer than other models. The added protection of the roll bars makes this ATV one of the safest on the market.
There are many Polaris RZR accessories available to choose from. Whether you are looking for a snow/dirt plow or replacing the wheels with tracks for deep snow, it can be done. Not only can you pack your vehicle with accessories you can also choose from a variety of color schemes and top covers. Hunters will love the camouflage color scheme and riders will also enjoy the available windshield and top covers to protect them from the elements.
When compared to many of the alternatives that are available, the RZR price is very reasonable. You can expect to pay between $11,000 and $13,000 for one, depending on how it’s configured.
Whatever you are looking for in an ATV, you are sure to find it with the many choices that Polaris offers. The company’s rugged machine can haul heavy loads or be used for packing up the tent and sleeping bags for a weekend adventure.
